Good Morning Lovelies!

So, last month I had the honor of testing the Summer Dress by Bubby and Me Creations. The Summer Dress is a breezy knee length dress with a fully lined bodice and super cute criss cross straps in the back. The best part is there are no buttons or zipper closures to worry about, just a simple elastic casing in the back. Super easy to slip on if you have a wiggly little. lol And it runs from a size 18m to a size 10.

I was very excited to be chosen for this dress because the moment I saw it I thought of my, Blueberry Garden fabric from Sarah Jane’s Sommer Collection sitting nicely in my stash. It was perfect; even down to the name. 🙂  I also used Michael Miller Cotton Couture Sun Yellow for the lining, because Summer, and Sommer and Sun were just meant to be together!

The first set of photos we took in the yard was lost to a corrupted card, and so my second  plan was to take her and her bunny to the park to photograph the dress. I thought the colors of the dress would pop so beautifully against the green grass, but if you follow me on social media, you know that couldn’t happen. *womp womp womp* With Abigail’s ER scare and with doctor’s orders for her to stay in bed, I honestly haven’t been able to do much; kids tend to be super clingy while they’re sick. (It has literally taken me 2 days to write this blog post)

I’m not sure when Abigail will be well enough to take proper pictures, but I didn’t want you to miss the opportunity to get this darling pattern while its still on sale since it launched yesterday. (You can find it: HERE)
So while I don’t have super cute scenic shots, I do have a few pictures we took for our preliminary fit check.
She seems to be growing like a sprite and is measuring a size 4 in height even though her body measurements still have her in a size 2 range, and so I added a two inch hem.   I  disguised my hem line with ricrac, which I think give it just a little extra oomph.

I must say,I’m pretty please with this unintentional bunny placement. 🙂

The dress is a quick and fun sew, and perfect for summer! I do plan on having an actual photoshoot as soon as she’s well, and will probably add it to this post and share again. So stay tuned for that! 🙂 A big Thank You to the many of you who did send well wishes for her, we truly appreciate it; hopefully she’s back to her happy spirited shelf in the next week or so.  And as always, thank you for stopping by today! xoxo

  1. Hi,
I noticed you review patterns I am having a pattern and not sure if you could help me out it is very similar to the summer dress by bunny and me creations but at the back has a tie at the top instead of the straps, if you can point me in the right direction that will be great thanks
